With Comcast divesting NBCUniversal's cable assets and setting up a new company Versant, the formation of its communications executive team has finally come to an end.In this strategic restructuring, two senior media people—Erin Calhoun and Steve Arocho—were appointed senior vice presidents of entertainment and sports communications and vice presidents of corporate communications, respectively, to officially join the high-profile new team.
Erin Calhoun will be based in Los Angeles and is responsible for developing and executing PR strategies and media affairs for multiple channels including USA Network, Oxygen, E!, Syfy, Golf Channel, GolfNow, Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes and Sports Engine. Her joining not only brings rich industry experience, but also marks the reunion of her collaboration with the NBCUniversal series brands.Previously, she served as Executive Vice President of Communications at Paramount, leading the streaming media platforms Paramount, Showtime and cross-departmental PR; earlier, she also held positions at Showtime and Paramount Television Studios. As early as 2016-2017, she was also the head of corporate communications for USA and Syfy, and this return was a natural result.
