Description
In the dim light of a colossal, labyrinthine laboratory shrouded in secrets, a girl awakens. Her eyes flutter open to an unfamiliar world—a sterile expanse of cold metal and flickering monitors that hum with lifeless energy. Confusion mingles with fear as she takes her first uncertain steps through this eerie maze. But there’s something different about her—something extraordinary buried beneath the surface, waiting to be unleashed.
As she escapes the confines of the lab, fate propels her into another world entirely. Stumbling upon Kyung Hee, a resilient woman fiercely defending her home against a ruthless criminal gang, the girl finds herself thrust into chaos. For the first time, she meets others who aren’t confined by the walls of the laboratory—but these strangers are far from kind. When the shadowy organization approaches Kyung Hee’s house, intent on destruction, the girl steps forward without hesitation. With a power so overwhelming it defies explanation, she repels them, protecting not only Kyung Hee but also revealing a strength within herself she never knew existed.
Yet their victory is short-lived. The same forces hunting her in the secret laboratory now pursue her relentlessly, driven by questions only they seem to hold: Who is this mysterious girl? What makes her so unique? And why does her very existence pose such a threat?
Through each fleeting moment of danger and discovery, we see glimpses of her soul—a fragile yet unyielding spirit yearning for answers, for freedom, for connection. As she fights to uncover the truth about her past, her bond with Kyung Hee deepens, offering a fragile sanctuary amidst the storm. Together, they must navigate a world where trust is scarce and survival demands more than courage—it demands resilience, hope, and an unshakable belief in one another.
Who is this enigmatic girl, and what secrets lie hidden within her? The journey ahead promises revelation, heartache, and triumph, weaving together threads of mystery, emotion, and humanity that will leave no viewer untouched.

One of the best Quran movies I've watched is this one, and "Ballerina." I recommend it; I really love action movies. This one gets 10 out of 10. I want a Movie 3.

Well, it's overcrowded, and I didn't like it. I mean this was the trope and the first part was the subversion. But that's not the reason why I didn't like it. The problem is it's not about "The Witch: The Other One," it's about everything except.
The first part had a story about a character, "The Witch," and the character was developed through the movie. We spend 90% of the movie with her, knowing about her, her family, her relationships, her environment. The remaining 10%, where she's not present, supplies us with some information about what she's up against. But everything is in relation to her, without spending much time on other characters, so Ko Jayun remains our protagonist. That's why I feel anxious when those super guys come to her house, despite suspecting she may be perfectly capable of handling them. I feel anxious about her friend. I almost choke when Choi Woo Shik's character is seen asking something from Myung Hee's Police Chief dad for 2 seconds. No one in Ko Jayun's good life dies in that, but I was constantly concerned for them. That's why the twist was so unforeseen and satisfying, not because she had the capacity to annihilate an entire army of X-Men, but because she planned it so neatly. I was rooting for her not only because her foes were cocky cigarette-smoking, gum-chewing murderers and criminals (one of my pet peeves, the trope of cool and dangerous people who smoke or chew gum) but because I was Ko Jayun's friend too, regardless of her character about-face from a distraught, clueless, amnesiac superpower girl who loves her family and friend to a cold-blooded killing machine who still loves her family and friend. And that's what makes the first part so good. I can tell you the story of Ko Ja Yun because I know about her and she has a very compelling story.
Whereas in this one, I don't know anything about the "girl" other than she has superpowers, she cares about Park Eun Bin and her brother, she loves food, she is lost. This girl looks lost from A to Z of the movie, even when she's meticulously crushing Yong Do's bones. I feel no connection with her or Park Eun Bin and her brother whatsoever. So I don't feel anything when the brother and sister die. I was much more invested in Jo Hyun and her weirdo partner. I can tell a lot about their characters, and I felt so bad when they died. They do a lot of stuff that's not just killing and mooning over food, which tells me about them.
The only slightly interesting part about the movie is when "girl" decimates the precocious super bitches, but that's because they were getting on my nerves by replicating the same type from the last movie without adding anything new. And the final showdown looked like they were trying to amp up the scale of super-powerness and special effects. The girl didn't even have to blink to do anything. I mean, they definitely wanted her to be Jean Grey/Phoenix without first establishing her as a fleshed-out character I'd care for.
P.S. Go Min Shi is the best BFF.
P.P.S. Why is Lee Jung Sook even in it?

A waste of time for the most part. By the end, I felt like they should have just left it off at Part 1. It was supposed to tell the story of the girl, but most of the time was spent focusing on that killing woman and her partner, like, yeah, we get it. She's good at killing, and cussing, and a lot of banter, which was probably supposed to do something but missed the mark because it just sounded awkward, but is it her story? That and other things that didn't make sense just made it such a pain.

This comment contains spoilers for the first witch movie, so don't read it if you haven't watched it yet.

Felt like it was less about the "Witch" and more about characters other than her. There are some really good moments, but it feels way too crowded. The villains aren't as compelling as the one in the first part where you would truly despise them. The girl here doesn't have much personality compared to Ko Ja Yun (the witch from part one); she doesn't even have much screen time. It's mostly the supporting characters doing the talking and fighting. The climax just sort of happened; it's not very satisfying or even emotional. The story also seems confusing at times. One of my biggest issues with this movie is how unnecessary the comedy was; it felt really forced. The English-speaking actor and Seo Eun Soo don't have good chemistry, which made their scenes hard and annoying to watch, even though SES is really great in this. Lee Jong Suk played his role very well—I'm not really his fan, but damn, he was excellent here. I'm hoping part three will be an improvement with more focus on the main characters and the action.

Yes. It has a planned release in 2025 if all goes well.

In the beginning, I felt somewhat bored; I even thought, can we drop this movie? But after half of the movie, it was "DAMN" good. They twisted the story. When compared to S2, S1 is the best. Don't skip this movie. Watch it till the end.

Bad writing, super boring story but great acting from everyone involved and awesome action and power scenes. I also really liked the Female Lead (FL), she was very cute when she was learning about things. I wish they explored her story more and gave her a stronger bond with the brother and sister. The connection between the three of them was too flat. They focused too much on the other characters instead of her, who should've been the focus. Also, uhm, Taegoo having a minor appearance here was nice; he’s a cutie.
