Description
From the very first moment Shaw Landon set eyes on Rule Archer, her heart was irrevocably his. Rule, a tattoo artist with a temper as vibrant and untamed as his art, has no place in his world for someone like Shaw—a pre-med student, dutiful and bound by the expectations of others. To him, she’s everything he isn’t: measured where he is reckless, restrained where he is wild. Yet beneath her composed exterior lies an understanding that sees past his brash defiance to the vulnerable soul hidden within. She lives according to other people's rules while he carves his own path through life—but somehow, she understands him in ways no one else ever has.
One fateful night changes everything. A short skirt, too many celebratory cocktails during her birthday, and secrets spilled under the cover of darkness lead to a connection neither can deny nor forget. That night becomes both their beginning and their challenge—a collision of worlds they never thought could align.
Now, Shaw and Rule face the daunting task of figuring out how two people so fundamentally different can find common ground without losing themselves or destroying what they’ve built together. It’s not just about love; it’s about trust, compromise, and learning to embrace each other’s differences. Can they bridge the gap between her structured dreams and his fiercely independent spirit? Or will the weight of who they are pull them apart before their love can truly take root?
This is a story of passion, rebellion, and the quiet strength found when two souls choose to see beyond the masks they wear—and dare to believe in forever.

She used to date his brother “Remy” but we quickly learn that he was involved in a car accident with his brother and so now we have our requisite dose of family baggage to explain why “Rule” is a bit of a commitment-phobe. Meantime, she is supposed to be dating millionaire drip “Gabe” (Michael Bradway) to keep her rather wealthy but venal mother sweet, but in the end it’s her bit of...
