Inside EditionAnchorDeborah Norville will be held at the Daytime Awards on October 17, 2025The Emmy Awards won the Lifetime Achievement Award.The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) officially announced the news on Monday.
The senior journalist, who has been nominated for the Daytime Emmy Awards and has won the News and Documentary Emmy Awards twice, has been an anchor on the Inside Edition program for thirty years, becoming the longest-serving female anchor in American television history.She completed the recording of the last episode of the show on May 21 this year.
Before joining Inside Edition, Norville worked as a reporter and anchor at CBS News and officially joined the show in 1995.During her 45-year career, she has also hosted NBC Today, NBC News at Sunrise, Deborah Norville Tonight on MSNBC and the talk show Deborah Norville Show on ABC Talk Radio Network.She will return to the screen this fall to host the syndicated game show The Perfect Line, produced by CBS Media Ventures.
Norville is also a bestselling author and serves on the board of directors of the Broadcasters Foundation of America, and is also an active member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Women Corporate Directors and the New York Women’s Forum.
She said in her award speech: “When I first walked into the newsroom as a college student, I could not imagine my journey would span over forty years, travel around the world and have allowed me to meet so many admirable people. This Lifetime Achievement Award is the most extraordinary summary of my career, and I sincerely thank NATAS, my colleagues, and the audience who have welcomed me into their homes for many years.”
